What The Puck Now?

Last season the Vancouver Canucks ran away with the Western Conference.  They finished 12 points ahead of second place San Jose and 11 points up on third place Detroit.  The mad dash to the finish line left the fourth through eighth place teams all sitting within three points of each other.  For all their efforts the Canucks pulled the short straw and got the defending Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks, who also sported the third best goal differential in the conference (trailing second place Detroit by only two).  Some reward.
