Undrafted right wing Matthew Pistilli(15) had himself a nice 3-year entry level deal with Carolina Hurricanes that expired at the end of the 2012 season.

Other than last season, he had split time between the AHL and the ECHLFlorida Everblades. But in ’11/’12 he skated almost a full tilt (73 games) and scored career highs in goals with 12, assists 13 and 25 points. He also went an abysmal -12 plus/minus.

Entering his 4th pro season, the somewhat big 6’2″ 219 lbs., should-be power forward signed an ECHL contract to skate with South Carolina Stingrays. In 46 regular and postseason games he has 20 goals and 24 assists.

First things first though, he scored an invite to join the Stingrays‘ new upper league affiliate Providence Bruins training camp.
